Every year, hundreds of you take the time to tell us what it's really like to be a Newcastle United supporter: the good, the frustrating, and everything in between. This year was no different: 1282 of you responded, roughly 10% of our membership, giving us one of the most detailed pictures of supporter opinion we've ever had.
We've just published the 2026 NUST Annual Survey Report, and while there's plenty to be proud of, there are also some clear warning signs NUST believes the club needs to hear.
We've also created a one-page Survey Summary alongside the report for an overview of the main issues.
A few of the headlines:
- Affordability is now the defining issue. Concern about season ticket prices has jumped from 49% to 61% in a year, and general admission (Mags Members) price concern has risen from 50% to 62%.
- Trust in the club's communication has slipped. Fewer of you feel the club explains its decisions or genuinely values supporter feedback than this time last year.
- The matchday experience is under strain. 65% think atmosphere has got worse, and queues, VAR and stadium facilities all came in for criticism.
- Demand for tickets still massively outstrips supply - from the ballot to away allocations.
- Despite all of that, the feedback throughout was constructive, not just critical.
- We saw great feedback for NUST who remain a trusted voice for fans.
There's a lot more in the full report: a deep dive into Season Tickets & Digital Ticketing, Away Games, Mags Membership, St James' Park & the Leazes Terrace deal, Newcastle United Women, with supporters' words woven throughout. Vice-Chair Felicity Thow's closing reflections are also well worth a read.
