The Board of The Trust are able to inform you that the proposal put forward by the Pledge Scheme Committee to support chosen charities with an existing connection to Newcastle United, has been resoundingly accepted by members.
Members voted ‘Yes’ to the proposal by a 97.5% margin, and in doing so approved the payments detailed below to the following charities:
- The Alan Shearer Foundation (£83,500)
- The Newcastle West End Foodbank (£27,500)
- The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation (£59,000)
- The Newcastle United Foundation (£30,000)
The money will be paid to charities this week and evidence of payments will be posted to the Trust’s social media channels and included in the next member update.
We are delighted to announce tickets are on sale NOW for our 1892 Pledge ‘Thank You’ event which will be held at The Stand Comedy Club in Newcastle on Tuesday November 15th.
Newcastle United legends Alan Shearer and Steve Harper will be on stage for an evening of Newcastle United discussion and audience questions. Tickets cost £20.00* (Plus a small booking fee chargeable by the venue)
There will be a raffle on the night so please bring cash with you for some fabulous prizes provided by event supporters including Newcastle United.
